Our Process: Step By Step
Moisture Mapping
We will use material moisture meters and humidity meters to determine exactly what got wet and document it. All of this info will be compiled into one cohesive job report, for you, at the end of your project. This is incredibly helpful if you want to seek reimbursement or prove that you had the work done properly
Initial Response
First Step technicians will dispatch immediately after you authorize the work. They will show up equipped with all of the industry-standard equipment and tools required to begin drying your property right away. The initial response will look slightly different based on some factors like the age of your home, but three things will always happen on the first day: We will map out and document exactly what got wet, we will begin the drying process, and we will isolate the affected area from the rest of your home.
Dehumidification and Containment
Our equipment will dry the air around the affected areas of your home and we will use containments to help reduce the amount of air around the affected areas. The dry air and air movement from our air movers (big fans) will dramatically accelerate the evaporation process for wet materials.
Moisture monitoring
After all of the heavy lifting is done, we need to track the drying progress. This helps us make adjustments as the structure dries and achieve a faster dry time, helping you get your home back faster. Monitoring trips will be daily and will be recorded in your final mitigation report.
Mitigation Report
We bundle all of the documentation from your job into one clean report that you can share with your insurance company for a partial reimbursement or any other party to show that you had the mitigation done properly.
